Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The charges follow what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.
