Iranian Forces State Assault on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.

Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed operations across the region in retaliation for a significant and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any impact is not yet known and the US has not commented.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - said they have intercepted missiles in their air space.

In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

Operation "Truthful Promise 4"

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.

That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted locations associated with the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the government.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

It said missile fragments landed in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some property damage and fatalities.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
